Harris Operated On; May Not Race Again For Years

London, Aug. 3. The New Zealander, Douglas Harris, who suffered three spike wounds in his left hee- during the heat of the 800 metres event on Friday, underwent an operation today in the St. Mary's Hospital, where surgeons stitched the Achilles tendon. It is un'ikely even if the operation is successful, that Harris will be able to run again for a long time, possibly years.
