Premium 1 o Be Paid For Early Lambs
*‘l think there will be a premium this year on early lamb to avoid congestion in the freezing works around about. Christmas,’’ said Mr. W. J. Matthews, a member of the Electoral College of the New Ze&’and Meat Board, at yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Provincial Executive of Federated Farmers. The chairman (Mr. H. J. Donnelly) said that a imilar premium would be paid on South Island lambs, but later on as their season was later than that of the North Island.
