Mr. I. F. E. Carter And Mr. J. W. Matthews To Stand For Meat Board

Mr I. F. E. Carter, of Ohakune, has teen nominated by the Waitiarino branch of Fdflerated Farmers as a candidate for membership of the Electoral College of the New Zealand Meat Board. . Mr. Carter is chairman of the Meat and Wool Section of the Wanganui Provincial Executive of Federated Farmers. Fie has farmed in the Waimarino and Te Awamutu districts for many years and has a wide knowledge of hill-country problems. At yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui Provincial Executive, Mr. W. J. Matthews (Waverley), the sitting representative on the board, announced that he intended to seek re-election to to the position.
