Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club Point-to-Point Steeplechase Today
Keen interest is being displayed in the Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Club’s annual point-to-point steeplechase meeting, to be held today on Mr. Jack Lupton’s property at Waverley. The course laid out for the three steeplechase eventY should ensure that spectators will obtain a good view of all jumps.
Handsome trophies have been provided by supporters of the club for all events, including the jumping competitions for hunters and also the children’s events, with which the fixture opens pt 12.30 p.m. Fo-lowing are the entries for the steeplechase events:— Maiden Steeplechase, with £3O ;n trophies; about 2\ miles.—Ogram, Saleve Link, Kapai Chief, Malison, Wynotte, Peter Quex, Airborne, Golden Rirge, Hutrangi Again, Hemokai, Grey Dawn. Beau Court, Ohawe Surprise. Coridian, Bright Parade, Jackdaw. Reserved. Tally-Ho Steeo'echase, with £45 in trophies; about miles.—Royal Pageant 11.12. Sailor’s Song 11.12, Sunfire 11.7, Jigaboo 11.0, Carol 11.0. Mediocre 11.0, New Chum 11.0, The Trump 10.10, Peter Quex, Coridian, Malison, Ohawe Surprise, Gay Invader, Torquay, Golden Ridge 10.7. Heavyweight Steeplechase, with £2O in trophies: about 21 miles.—The Trump 13.5, Dusinane 12.7, Blazeaway 12.4, Autogo, Wynotte. Rua, Barney, Robin Florian, Golden Shadow 12.0.*
