Removal Of Ceilings On Fruit And Greens Urged By Auctioneers

(P.A.) Dunedin, June 9. The removal of ceiling prices on fruit and green vegetables was urged by the annual conference of the Fruit and Produce Merchants and Auctioneers’ Federation, which adopted a resolution that ceiling prices were seriously affecting production. A statement issued to the Press said that the conference was also concerned with the state of the transport of perishab'e goods, and a resolution described the system as “chaotic” and said the situation had shown steady deterioration over manv ■Mas.
