Large Supply Of Milk Arrives At Wellington From Christchurch

(P.A.) Wellington, May 30 An unexpectedly large quantity of milk —2000 gallons—arrived at Wellington this morning from Christchurch. Only 700 gallons had been expected. With this large supply from the south and a slight improvement in local production, it may be possible to remove all cuts temporarily. This would be decided on Monday, said the general manager of the City Milk Department, Mr. E. L. Benseman. Further supplies are expected by the inter-island steamer tomorrow and later next week. Mr. Benseman said that although the position was now more hopeful and it was possible that all cuts would be lifted temporarily, it was essential that the public be as economical as possible.
