Russia And Israel Are To Establish Diplomatic Relations

Recd. 8.30 p.m. London. May 26. The Moscow radio says Russia Ims agreed to a proposal by Mr. Moache Shertok (Foreign Minister of Israel) to exchange diplomatic missions with Israel. Mr. Shertok asked Mr. Molotov on Monday to agree to the immediate establishment of a Jewish mission in Moscow and a Russian mission in Tel Aviv. Mr. Molotov at once agreed, saying the mission would be headed by an envoy, or charge d’Affaires. There would be provision tor the discharge of consular functions.
