Ship’s Steward Sent To Gaol For Desertion
(P.A.) Wellington, May 5. Richard McComish, aged 21, ship’s cook, who made a spectacular lastminute escape from the Durango last Friday, pleaded guilty to a charge of desertion in the Magistrate’s Court and was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment by Mr. Goulding. S.M.
