BRITAIN WARNS THE ARABS
THEY MUST NOT INVADE PALESTINE Recd. 6 p.m. London, May 6. Britain has warned the Arab States against any attempte to invade Palestine while the mandate is still in force. The "Daily Herald’s” diplomatic
correspondent says that Mr. Bevin has reminded them that while the mandate lasts—it ends on May 15—Britain is responsible for the defence of Paletine, and that any Arab invaders would therefore be resisted and coun-ter-attacked.
