AUSTRALIANS’ EASY WIN OVER LEICESTER; INNINGS AND 171 RUNS

London, May 4 The Australian cricket tourists defeated Leicestershire by an innings and 171 runs. Play was resumed this afternoon on a soft pitch and a slippery outfield after heavy overnight rain. The remaining five Leicester batsmen could muster oniv 34 runs and the team was all out for 146 after 50 minutes’ play today. lan Johnson took two more wickets and finished with seven for 42 off 21 overs. The pitch was made to order for him today. Miller took the last two wickets for 10 runs off four overs. The Australians tomorrow begin their third game against the strong Yorkshire County.
