Turakina School Teacher Has Taken New Post In Fiji

Mr. L. N. Bradley, headmaster of the Turakina Public School, will leave Auckland by the Matua on May 20 for Suva, Fiji, where he is to become principal, of the Ratu Kadavulevu school. Mr. Bradley’s new charge is a selected school for Fijian boys, and he will be in charge of a staff of four Europeans and 20 Fijian teachers. There is a big farm attached to the school and is under a farm manager. For the part two years Mr. Bradley has been in charge of the Turakina school and has taken a lively interest in matters promoted for the welfare of the district. He has held appointments in six schools in the Wanganui education district other than Turakina—Raukura (near Taihape), Te Rena (Taumarunui district), Colyton (near Feilding), Gonville, South Makirikiri and Mangaweka. In all, he has been in the Wanganui Education Board’s service for 17 years.
