Weather Recording To Be Standardised As Result Of Conference

(P.A.) Auckland, April 8 Standardisation of weather reports and references would be sought at the conference of the International Meteorological Organisation (Region 5) to be held shortly in said Mr. Charles Woofinden, officer in charge of the weather office at Honolulu, who arrived at Whenuapai on the Pan-American Clipper. Mr. Woofinden said the region was actually the South Pacific area in which there was a daily interchange of weather information. He would represent the United States and there would be representatives of other countries in the region at the meeting. It was hoped, by discussion, to simplify the present system.
