AUSTRALIA WINS IN CABLE CHESS MATCH

(P.A.) Wellington, April 11 Australia had a clear-cut win over New Zealand in the eight-board cable chess match played on Saturday and today, winning five games and drawing two. The remaining game between H. McNabb (Nelson) and F. A. Crowl (Melbourne) has gone to adjudication. The match was the first of its kind between two countries. The New Zea land team played from Wellington. The Australian team consisted of five New South Wales’ players who played from Sydney and three Victorians who played from Melbourne. Results* C. J.
