LYSANDER’s EASY WIN AT RANDWICK MEETING

Recd. 7.30 p.m. Sydney, April 11. Lysander ran an unusual race to win the City Tattersall's Handicap at Randwick yesterday. He was drawn on the outside but instead of being eased back at the start he jumped out and stayed with the leaders. Cursory and May Mist made the early running. with Lysander third. Not until the Leger did Lysander challenge, but then he quickly ran to the front and won by three lengths. Results: — City Tattersall's Handicap.—Lysander 7/5 (Sellwood) 1. Blue Legenci 8/13 (Fordyce) 2, Laudus 6/3 (Ward) 3. Sixteen started. Three lengths;-nose. Time, 2.5 2.
