Wairarapa Handicap Won By Positive At Wellington Trots

(P.A.) Wellington, April 11. The Wellington Trotting Club's autumn meeting concluded yesterday at Hutt Park in fine weather before a large crowd. The track was in excellent order after overnight rain. The totalisator handled £103,061 10s, compared with £112,480 on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting was £180,177, compared with £195,714, a decrease of £15,537.

An inquiry was held' into alleged interference c r. ed by Positive, driven by P. P. Gallagher, in the Wairarapa Handicap but it was decided to take no action. Worthdale’s running in the Clareville Handicap was questioned and the explanation of J. J. Brophy, the driver, was accepted. Loyal Toast was disqualified from fourth place in the Members’ Handicap lor galloping, Onerous being placed fourth. Results are:—
