Wanganui Radio Transmitters Hold Monthly Meeting
Presided over by Mr. A. R. Claridge (ZL2CL), the monthly meeting of th® Wanganui Branch of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters was held recently. New members introduced were— M. McLean (ZL2AEJY), N. Elder (ZL2AFE), both of the Collegiate College and Mr. Geo. Cutfield. The visitors included Mr. D. Chew, Mr. R. Austin and Messrs. Young and Pearson.
Following discussion of general business, two competitions .vere held. The “junk” competition was won by Ray Austin and the club competition by M. Elder. The growing policy of mutual assistance between the various cityclubs and organisations was further illustrated when members of the local Cine Club showed movie films covering various radio topics.
