AUSTRALIAN WOMEN CRICKETERS BEAT N.Z. BY BIG MARGIN
(P.A.) Wellington, March 23 The Australian women cricket representatives defeated New Zealand by an innings and 102 runs in the test match which concluded at the Basin Reserve at 12.10 p.m. today. The New Zealand batsmen, in perfect conditions, collapsed completely in their second innings for 87 against a first-class Australian attack, which was backed up by magnificent fielding. B. Wilson, with her slow spinners, was the outstanding Australian bowler. Of 14 overs, five of which were maidens. she captured six wickets for 28.
