SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mrs. R. M. Hillier, Duncan Street, Wanganui East, is visiting Christchurch. Misses K. and M. Butler, Wanganui, are visiting Rotorua. Miss Audrey Naumann left yesterday on her return to Christchurch, after a holiday spent at her home in Wanganui. The appointment of Miss Nora Bateson as acting-director of the New Zealand Library School attached to the National Library Service, Wellington, is announced. Miss Bateson succeeds Miss Mary Parsons, former director of the recently closed United States Information Library, who is returning shortly to America.
