VALUBALE YEARLING COLT BELIEVED KILLED! ANOTHER INJURED

Two valuable yearlings bred by Mr. A. T. Cooper, Te Awainutu, and en route to the sales at Trentham, where they were to have been offered on Wednesday, Were involved in an accident when the horse-float in which they were being conveyed overturned on the Ohakune-Tai-hape section of the Inland Highway, near Waiouru, late on Friday night. It is understood that one colt, by Foxbridge from Marchby and therefore ho(f-brother to Tilting, was killed outright, and the other, by Gold Mb from Laughing Song, received injuries which may necessitate his destruction. The yearlings in the float were, it Was stated, covered by an insurance policy for approximately £2OOO.
