TAXI PROPRIETORS APPEAL TO FULL COURT AGAINST NEW AWARD
(P.A.) Wellington, Jan. 14 The New Zealand Taxi Proprietors’ Federation has appealed to the Full Court of Arbitration against the new Dominion award for taxi-drivers issued just before Christmas by Judge Stevens, deputy-judge of the Court. The award, which came into operation on January 1 and operates for six months, grants to taxi-drivers for the first time a 40-hour week. It was the first award issued in Wellington by Judge Stevens.
