1019 Miles An Hour On Land?
„ .. New York, Jan. 13 The Northrop Aircraft Company aannounced at Muroc air base, California, that in supersonic barrier experiments it sent unmanned land vehicles hurtling over tracks at 1019 miles an hour. Rocket-powered vehicles. with runners gripping the rails, were sent over a section of a standard gauge railway track.
