LABOURER GORED BY A COW
> „ Westport, Jan. 14. Forbes Carruthers, aged 36, single, of Wellington, a farm labourer working at Utopia, was gored by a cow this morning. He was admitted to hospital with a severed artery In the left thigh and other injuries. His condition is serious. Richard Rayner, aged about 35. single, foreman at Wallace’s sawmill. Totara, had his hand caught in a saw yesterday and suffered severe lacerations, necessitating the amputation of two fingers. His condition Is satisfactory.
