Though the Auckland Cup may fall short of the New Zealand Trotting Cup in the size of the stake and the class of the field engaged, the big event at Alexandra Park to-day is certain to be an attraction for a large crowd. The stake is £3500, together with a gold cup valued at £lOO, and the race is run over two miles, the limit being 4.26.
