State Taking Over Auckland Cable Station

The New Zealand Post Office will take over the management of the cable terminal operated at Auckland by Cable and Wireless Limited as from January 1, states the Post-master-General, Mr. Hackett. The present staffing arrangements will continue undisturbed Mr. Hackett explained that this was a preliminary to full ownership of the terminal and asociated equipment being asumed by the Post Office.
