C.J.C. OFFICIAL RETIRES

Mr. Alf Dickson has resigned his position as timekeeper to the Canterbury Jockey Club after having been one of the club’s officials for 23 years. From 1924 to 1941 Mr. Dickson was the club’s judge, and shortly after he resigned that position the timekeeper, Mr. R. Wallace, died, and Mr. Dickson was appointed to the vacancy. However ( the fact that Mr. Dickson has resigned his position with the Canterbury Jockey Club does not mean that he is severing an active association of more than 50 years with racing. The new timekeeper for the club will be Mr. A. C. C. Robilliard, who is already well known for his other sporting activities.
