Is Mr. Chifley Going To Discuss Banking Legislation In N.Z.?
Recd. 12.40 a.m, Canberra, Nov. 27. The Prime Minister (Mr. Chifley) requested that the question be put on the notice paper whe* he was asked in the House of Representatives to-day whether he intended to discuss aspects of nationalisation of banking legis- • iation during his approaching visit to New Zealand. The question was asked by the DeputyLeader of the Opposition (Mr. Harrison), who also asked whether the Commonwealth Government had sent, or intended to send, Commonwealth Bank officers to New Zealand for the same purpose.
