Parliament Bldgs., Nov. 26 Total tonnage of all classes of cargo hand/jd by Wanganui watersiders for last year was 88,936, states the annual report of the Water front Commission for the year ended March 31. 1947, and since the inception of the cooperative contract system in 1941 the total cargo handled was 441,189 tons. The number of contracts last year was 207, and for the period 1941-4 G the number was 888. Man-weeks worked by the watersiders totalled 3398, or 116,185 hours (including 27,465 hours’ overtime), with an average of 34 hours per week worked by each man.
