Melbourne, Nov. 25. Leonard Wanliss, 38, the sensational cash punter known to bookmakers as “New Zealand,” who was arrested at Flemington on Williamstown Cup Day on a charge of having left his wife in New South Wales without lawful means of support since November, 1943, was unconditionally discharged by the magistrate when he appeared in court today.

Counsel for Mrs. Wanliss told th' court his client did not want the matter pursued any further.
