Mr. Tom O’Brien, a Labour M.P. and secretary of the National Association of Theatrical and Kine Employees, told a meeting of film studio workers that the British film studios were threatened with a close down in the spring. “The Government has thrown the British film industry into the dustbin and is even preventing th. dust carts from collecting the refuse. The Gwernmtnt has failed to provide facilities or remedies for re racing American with British films.

Mr O’Brien alleged tiiat several hundred studio workers were dismissed last Friday.
