AUCKLAND TROTS CONCLUDE (P.A.) Auckland, Oct. 27. The Auckland Trotting Club's spring meeting was concluded at Epsom today in showery 'weather. The attendance was 21000. The track was holding. The totalisator handled £139,259 10s. against £132.968 10s last Labour Day. 'rite total lor the meeting was' £276.337. compared with £267,283 10s, an increase of £9033 l()s.
R. Stevens, driver, was tined £5 for unseemly behaviour. S. August was fined £5 for looking round and for undue use of the whip at the finish of the Insulation Handicap. When Miranda Scott failed badly In the Insulation Handicap an inquiry was held into her running, C. R. Berketj explaining that she could not handle the ground When being got ready for the Hillsborough Handicap later the stipendiary stewards ordered the withdrawal of Miranda Scott. Results are:—
