Apology for Heckling At R.N.V.R. Dinner
London, Oct. 13. The Hon. W. Astor, chairman of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Club, revealed that he had written apologies to Viscount Hall, First Lord of the Admiralty, Mr. Alexander, Minister of Defence, and Admiral Sir John Cunningham regarding the heckingthat interrupted their speeches at the R.N.V.R. dinner on October 10. “About six members Introduced political feeling into a function which was entirely a Service occasion.”
