CLUB FOURSOMES FINAL PLAYED AT BELMONT

During the week-end the final of the Wanganui Golf Club's foursomes handicap was played between I. Saunders and C. W. Horne and D. O. L. Howden and J. V. Bly th. After a close match Saunders and Horne won by 2 and 1, th e turning point of the game being an eagle 3 by the winners at the 16th hole.

The competition for the Hutchison Jug was also played during the weekend. This i s a family mixed foursome bogey match, and resulted in a win for J. F. Collins and Miss V. Collins, who finished 1 down on bogey. The following are the best scores returned : J. F. Collin s and Miss V. Collins, 1 down; Dr. and Mrs. U. G. Williams, 2 down; Mr and Mrs A. E. Dalgety, 2 down; Mr and Mrs I. Parsons, 3 down; Mr and Mrs H. Collins, 3 down.
