U.S. Dealings With Bulgaria Are Beginning to Smell

"Certain inconsistencies in some of the United States' dealings with other countries are becoming unpleasantly odorous,” says the “New York Sun," in an editorial. "For example, while the State Department was announcing the diplomatic recognition of Bulgaria, an American delegation to the United Nations was insisting that Bulgaria is unfit to join that community. Thus, while the United States violently protested against the judicial murder of Nicola Petkov (Bulgarian Peasant Party leader) it now officially shakes hands that are dripping with his blood.”
