DUNEDIN GUINEAS WON BY KARTIKEYA
THREE DEAD-HEATS IN DAY AT WINGATUI (P.AJ Dunedin, Oct. 5. The Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring meeting concluded yesterday in overcast weather before a fair attendance. The track was soft. The totalisator handled £48,992 10s. against £60,378 10s on the corresponding day last year. The total for th e meeting was £97,919, compared with £95,334. an increase of £2585. An inquiry was held into alleged crossing by W. F. ElUs, rider of Shadamai, in the Juvemle Handicap, in which Card Money and Gaygundi fell. The judicial committee found that “There was not sufficient evidence to convict Ellis of foul or careless riding, but he was severely reprimanded and warned to be more careful in future in his race riding.” A.
