TRUTH LN THE NEWS. We have always been a believer In truth in the news, but we find it hard to take seriously the Press message from the West Coast that men over there have now taken to milk bars because the price of beer has been raised. It somehow doesn't fit in with either our knowledge of beer, men or milk. There is more truth, we are inclined to think, in the assertion of the housewives of Wanganui that beer hotties gel better treatment than milk hotties. We say that, notwithstanding the fact that we have seen a thirsty man callously knock the head off a beer boule to get at the beer, it was tile only way he could open It, he said, and cruelly sacrificed tho bottle in a good cause—his thirst.
