“Olympia” to Screen in City Next Week

The German film of the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin "Olympia" will be screened at the Majestic Theatre next week for three days beginning on October 7. The film, is being screened throughout New Zealand by Kerridge Odeon-Theatres in aid of the Food for Britain campaign and the gross takings are being handed to thc fund. The Government is refunding the amusement tax on the film and the exhibiting firms are screening thc film free of charge.

"Olympia,” which occupied more than 100 ifameramen and technicians for more than two years, is regarded as one of the greatest motion picture works of the day. It has already created considerable interest wherever it has been screened. It is hoped that the film will raise £30,000 for the fund.

Arrangements have been made for children from standards four, five and six of Wanganui primary schools to view the film.
