Sterling funds held by the Reserve Bank
fell from £90.712.001 to £90,234.073 in the week ended July 9. In the same period the note issue fell from £47.1.55,401 to £47.144.290. The i eturn in millions for the week ended July 16. with the weekly averages for 1939 and 1046, is as follows:
