Mrs. Scott-Maundrell, of Hunterville, visited Wanganui yesterday for the twenty-lirst birthday party of the Wanganui branch of the W.D.F.F.

Victoria League A very enjoyable bridge and mah jong afternoon was held in the Victoria League Rooms last week. An excellent attendance helped to make the party a most successful one. Mrs. J. E. Hamilton presided and Mrs. E. W. Merewether convened the afternoon.

Girl Guide Monster Fair A Girl Guide monster fair is to be held on Saturday afternoon in Christ Church Parish Hall to raise funds lor the recently purchased property in Marton for a training centre for Guiders. As well as a variety of stalls, a doll show and competitions for best sugar bag and butterless sponge, there will be a dance display' oy pupils of a dance studio. Donations to the stalls will be gratefully received.
