GOODWILL BETWEEN THE TWO CODES
Subsequent to a donation of £3 3s being made by the Management Committee of the Wanganui Rugby Union towards a fund which will enable Jack Smith, of Westmere, to travel to Australia with th e New Zealand primary
schools representative soccer team, a letter of thank? was received by the union at its meeting on Tuesday night. Th e letter, written by Mr. E. A. Gould in his capacity as hon. secretary to the Wanganui Football Association, expresses thanks to the Rugby Union for the generous donation.
“It is considere.l by my association that the gift, and the spirit which prompted it, augur well for the cooperation and toleration which has always shown itself between the two codes in Wanganui,” Mr. Gpuld wrote.
