More than 5000 spectators watched the Auckland team play a passing '.ame at sufficient speed to prevent :be Springboks from running into poll lion for the set attacks. The Auckland team, all things considered, was just a little unlucky not lo win. Goals were scored for Auckland by R .Brown (2) and L. Wood and for South Africa by Falconer, Clark and Smethuist.
