Inter-Bible Class Competitions

LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS

There was *a packed house at last night’s session at the Wanganui Youth Movement’s Inter-Bible Class competitions in St Paul’s Hall. There were two one-act plays presented, one being a dramatisation of a chapter from Lloyd C. Douglas' “The Robe,” by the St. James’ Bible Classes and the other "The Real Presence," by Trinity Bible Classes. ’i?.e results were as follows: —

Impromptu Speech—Donald Rennie (St. Paul’s), 1; Brian Russ (Christ Church), 2; Jean Andrews (Knox), 3. Municipal Monologue Margaret Sidey (St. James'), “The Madman’s Will,” 1; Pat Wysocki (St. Andrew's), “A Cockney Girl at the Pictures," 2; Mareleinc infield (Wesley), "Housekeeping,” 3. Brass Band Instrument Solo.—J. L. Eyers (St. Andrew’s), “Fantasia of Weber's Last Waltz," 1; Mervyn Thomas (Methodist North), “The Emperor," 2; Howard Watts (Methodist North), "In Cellar Cool,” 3. Humorous Recitation, 16 years and over.—Loys Wilson (St. Andrew’s), “Levinski at the Wedding,” 1; Madeleine Infield (Wesley), "The Dentist,” 2; Margaret Sidey (St. James'), “The Shoe Shop.’

No competitions will be held tonight, but the events will be continued in St. Paul’s Hall to-morrow afternoon, starting at 3 o'clock, and in the evening, starting at 6.30.
