ECONOMIC CRISIS IN JAPAN
PRIESTS AND ZOO IN SAME PLIGHT
Recd. 8 p.m. Tokio, July 14 The latest developments in Japan’s economic crisis and general food shortage were a decision by Shinto priests to form a union, and an announcement from the Tokio zoo that strawberries, pumpkin seeds, grass and other fodder would be accepted as official admittance payment.
Both Shinto priests and tho zoo are lookirg for more food. An official zoo announcement said: “Occupants o" the zoo are almost as short of food as the citizens of Tokio.”
