THIKIES RAID SYDNEY’S JEWELLER’S SHOP

Recd. 6 p.m. Sydney, July 15 Detectives are searching for a gang of smash-and-grab thieves which made a daring haul from a King’s Cross jeweller's shop today—its third in a week.

The thieves engage taxis in the city, drive to a selected shop and smash a p\>te glass window with beer bottles.

Today s haul .included five wristlet watches, one of which was given to a taxi-drive . He, however, immediately repoited the matter to the police. Yesterday’s haul from the city shop is estimated at just under £lOO.
