DAIRY RESEARCH INSTITUTE NOW INDEPENDENT BODY

Palmerston N., May 6 The Dairy Research Institute, after 20 years of work under Government control, has now grown up into an independent body controlled by representatives of the dairy industry, the Government, the Dairy Factory Managers’ Association and the Massey College Board, declared Professor W. Riddel, director of the institute, welcoming factory managers and first assistants from all parts of New Zealand to the annual conference at the college this morning. In this first public announcement of the changed status of the institute. Professor Riddot and Mr. W. Linton, representing the new management, stated that the institute had been formed in 1927 as the result of a con Terence between representatives of the dairy industry and the Government.
