FORDELL FAREWELL
A large and representative gathering o f people of the Fordell district rssembled on Tuesday night to say farewell to Mr. and Mrs. S. E. L. Lloyd and Miss Lloyd. Tte guests, who have resided in Fordell for the past 25 years, were welcomed into the hall with musical honours end the ringing of bells. During the evening, speakers from the many organisations to which the guests belonged, paid tribute to the very g: eat .service rendered to the community by the family. After an elderly couple had presented the guests with a memento from parents of Fordell, Mr. 11. R. Morgan, spoke on behalf ct the people of the district and presentea Mt. and Mrs. Lloyd with a chinn cabinet and a dinner service and Miss J< an Lloyd with a crystal bev.-i. lt"ms between the dances were given by Mr. Tim O’Leary, Miss O'Brien, Mr. John Howie and Miss Alberta Bousfield. The evening closed with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
