YOUNG MAN FATALLY CRUSHED BY HORSES

(P.A.) Dunedin, April 21. Injuries from which ho died in the Balclutha Hospital yesterday morning were received by Mr. Roger Wallace Mac Gibbon, aged 25, of McNab, when he was crushed against a telegraph post by some young un-broken horses which ho was helping to drive through Balclutha on Friday morning. The horses broke away and Mr. Mac Gibbon rode alongside the bunch in an endeavaur to gain control of them. They swerved in on top of him and crushed him and his horse against the post, the rider’s saddle being torn from the mount by the impact. Mr. Mac Gibbon was removed to hospital and died at 11 a.m. yesterday.
