NEW REGISTRAR FOR WANGANUI APPOINTED

A TASK OF MANY AVENUES. New registrar at the Wanganui Courthouse is to be Mi. A. R. C. Claiidge, who succeeds Mr. Mr. Parker, now registrar at Christ church. Mr. Claridge’s appointment has been announced in the Gazette. His duties, to quote inter alia from i the Gazette, will be those of "Registrar at Wanganui of the Supreme Couit. of Now Zealand and Sheriff for the District of Wanganui and Rang!tikei for the purposes of the Judica- ■ lure Act, 1908, Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui for the purposes of the Magistrate's Courts Act, 1928, Official Assignee at Wanganui for the Supreme Court District of Wanganui for the purposes of the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, Clerk of the Licensing Committee lor the District of Wanganui for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, Registrar and Marshal at Wanganui of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in respect of the jurisdiction as a Colonjal Couit of Admiralty under the Colonial Courts of Admit ahy Act, 1890, Registrar of Marriages for the District of Wanganui for tiie purposes of the Marriage Ai-t, 1908, Registrar of Births and Deaths fur the District of Wanganui for the purposes of the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, and Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoiis at. Wanganui for the purposes of the Maori Births and Deaths Registration Regulations 1935, on and from the 17lh day of March, 1947.”
