N.Z. COLT DEEP SEA WINS ANOTHER RACE IN AUSTRALIA

Alter winning the first division ol the Two-iear-Old Handicaop at Rosehill yesterday, his third successive victory in Australia, the New Zealand colt Deep Sea is considered probably the second best two-year-old in Sydney. He will oppose the champion Teraerairp in the A.J.C. Sires’ Produce Stakes at Randwick at Easter. His trainer. F. Musson, says that, though Deep Sea already looks like a Derby horse, he sli 11 does not know the first tl’jng about racing. He almost defeated his jockey, George Moore, by trying to stop when in front of the others yesterday. The Rosehill Cup proved a duel between Courier and Proctor. Coming from behind, Proctor got his head in front with twenty yards to go, but Courier raised another effort to win on the post in a photo-finish. Results:—

First Two-Year-Old Handicap—Deep Sea, 9.6 (Moore), 1: Coronation Lad, 8.1 (Walker), 2; Untold, 7.10 (Williams), 3. Eighteen started. Halflength; head. Time, 1.14. Rosehill Cup—Courier. 8.1 (Ward), 1- Proctor, 7.8 Briscoe), 2: Cape Neddick, 7.2 McCloud), 3. Ten started. Nose; length. Time, 2.33.
