CLARKSON AVENUE TO BE SEALED

“The Heads-Mosston highway is to be sealed right up to Clarkson Avenue/ said Mr. T. Dix, speaking at a meeting of the Waitotara County Council held yesterday. “This leaves about twenty chains up to the golf links which are not sealed. If you want to get this road tar-sealed,” he continued, “it would mean that the contractor would have to do it when he does the Heads-Mosston highway in about two or three weeks’ time.” Cr. Titter said that he would like to see tar-sealing done whenever it could be done. It was moved that Clarkson Avenue be sealed from the corner of the Heads-Mosston highway to the golf links cattle-stop. Discussing the work which had been undertaken on the Blueskin Road, Mr. T. Dix said that it would be advisable to seal the Blueskin Road from the end of that road up to Campbell Road. “It is wholly a riding matter, and one which I would like you to consider in the meantime,” concluded the county engineer.
