N.Z. TEAM CHOSEN TO PLAY M.C.C. AT CHRISTCHURCH
(P.A.) Wellington, March 10 Mr. E. E. Luttrell, secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, announced to-night that the New Zealand selectors, Messrs. J. L. Kerr, W. A. Hadlee and W. M. Wallace, had chosen the following 12 players for the Test match against the M.C.C. at Christchurch, beginning on March 21:— C. C. Burke (Auckland). T. B. Burtt (Canterbury). J. Cowie (Auckland). C. S. Dempster (Wellington). W. A. Hadlee (Otago). R. H. Scott (Canterbury'). Y’. J. Scott (Auckland). C. A. Snedden (Auckland). B. Sutcliffe (Otago). D. D. Taylor (Auckland). E. W. Tindill (Wellington). W. M. Wallace (Auckland). The 12th. man will be decided on the morning of the match. The management committee of the council has appointed Hadlee captain and Wallace vice-captain.
